IC at SEA
Jens Oomes is a true-blooded sailor and hands-on captain. Invisible Crew was created from lived experience: which systemization is practically implementable offshore, what fails under pressure, and what owners should never be bothered with.
To remain anchored in the reality of life onboard, and out of pure passion, Jens continues to take on select offshore projects:
• deliveries
• expeditions
• training experiences that keep seamanship sharp and standards uncompromised.

Yacht Deliveries
Discreet, professional relocation with seamanship you can trust.
When a yacht needs to relocate, you want more than a delivery crew.
You want a captain who treats the yacht like it is his own, and sails her conservatively.
Research & Conservation Expeditions
Offshore adventures with purpose and passion. Jens seeks out expeditions that contribute to marine research and conservation and/or expand knowledge of seamanship.

Offshore Training Experiences
Outdoors. Offshore. Offline. ○○○×
These days luxury isn’t only comfort, it’s clarity.
Yacht Deliveries
Discreet, professional relocation with seamanship you can trust.
When a yacht needs to relocate, you want more than a delivery crew. You want a captain who treats the yacht like it is his own, and sails her conservatively.
Jens and his team are available for select yacht deliveries.
Delivery expertise includes:
- passage planning and routing
- crew selection, briefings and temp contracts
- weather window evaluation
- safety checks and onboard readiness
- equipment verification and offshore preparation
- ongoing preventive maintenance
- post-delivery debrief, recommendations, and technical notes
“It was handled smoothly thanks to Jens’s thorough planning, seamanship expertise, and attention to safety.”
“From the outset, Jens demonstrated a high level of professionalism, knowledge, and commitment. He carefully selected and coordinated a capable crew, ensured all preparations were completed to a very high standard, and remained responsive and proactive throughout the entire voyage.
The passage was extensive and challenging, yet it was handled smoothly thanks to Jens’s thorough planning, seamanship expertise, and attention to safety. Communication was clear and reliable at all times, and I had complete confidence in both him and his team.”
Research & Conservation Expeditions
Offshore adventures with purpose and passion.
Jens seeks out expeditions that contribute to marine research and conservation and / or expand knowledge of seamanship. Sometimes in demanding environments. Sometimes on high-tech or traditional vessels. Sometimes solo on his own little Beneteau First 21.7.
Supporting the broader health of the oceans that make our lifestyle possible, it’s the least we can do!
Recent and upcoming expeditions include:
• High latitude sailing in Norway (latest expedition)
• Northwest Passage (2026): sailing from Ilulissat, Greenland to Nome, Alaska, a rare high-latitude route demanding meticulous preparation, ice awareness, and expedition-grade discipline.
This is doesn’t just look amazing on social media, it’s competence, training, and respect for the sea at the highest standard.
Offshore Training Experiences
Outdoors. Offshore. Offline. ○○○×
These days luxury isn’t only comfort, it’s clarity.
Through Jens’ ○○○×-program, select participants are taken offshore to step away from screens, schedules, and noise, and into an environment that instantly reveals what matters: teamwork, nature, and presence.
This is not a sailing course in the traditional sense.
It is an offshore experience that blends:
- meaningful outdoor time
- practical seamanship
- awareness of time and space
- interpersonal crew dynamics
- real onboard routines
Aspiring professional crew can add the theoretical course ‘How to work on Pocket Superyachts’.
